FiveNine Impact is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to substantive social equity projects and initiatives for small business in Southern California
About the Org
After taking over her father's iron fabrication business when he passed away from Cancer, founder Ciris Ashley saw first-hand how hard it was for small trade businesses and tradespeople to find a workspace to fit their needs and resources that fit their goals.
In a world that favors Fortune 500 companies, FiveNine Impact was created to solve multiple pain points; providing a much needed ecosystem of infrastructure, education, and advocacy to help smaller ventures thrive.
Our Mission -
To empower underserved tradespeople, entrepreneurs, and small business owners by providing the infrastructure, education, and advocacy needed to foster economic independence and generational growth
Our Vision -
A society where systemic barriers are removed, and access to opportunity is truly universal
The Builders - Tradespeople who need specific support through skill building, workspaces, and operational structure.
The Entrepreneurs - Low-income sole proprietors and small business owners who need professional services and resources to get started or grow.
The Next Generation: Youth and early-career adults seeking the trade skills and business literacy often missing from school curriculums or households.
What We Do
Our work is driven by social equity - addressing systemic barriers that keep the playing field uneven for small businesses, entrepreneurs, and tradespeople in underserved areas.
infrastructure
Sometimes the biggest barrier isn't talent— it's space. Without affordable, accessible work spaces, tradespeople are being cut off from growth opportunities and economic advantages.
education
Providing the tools, resources, and education needed to turn raw skill into professional, bankable operations.
advocacy
We're speaking up for the little guys - Real issues are often left unaddressed because they don't affect big money.
